This little GOgroove Panda Pal Mini Speaker System is one of the best portable speakers I have ever owned. When I s`w this speaker system on Amazon, from the pictures it looked like it would be quite big but when I got it the Panda turned out to be so tiny it could fit on the palm of my hand (and I'm a petite little lady). Even though the speaker system is small the sound is nice and big! No matter if they work off the batteries or the USB plugged into a computer the sound is clear and it has a nice bass to it too. Even when I turn up my volume all the way up the sound doesn't distort. I also admire the cute little design. The eyes are the speakers and the earphone jack wraps around its "waist" and tucks nicely in the back. One thing though: It doesn't come with a wall charger but otherwise it's perfect. It's very convenient to carry because it's small and the sound is great. I recommend.

Bought GOgroove BassPULSE Speaker on impulse from the photos, and don't regret it a bit . 

 
Pros:
Very aesthetically pleasing - the blue LEDs light up brightly and beautifully. The clear plastic on the speakers adds another sense of sleek style.
Very decent sound - not the best, but for it's price (thirty-five), is very decent. Speakers sound crisp and clear, and sub-woofer is punchy, literally! There is a front-facing canal that will blow the wig off your head if you stay close enough - beware! 

 
Cons:
Just a minor one - the two speakers are made of light cheap plastic.
Bottom line: if you're looking for an inexpensive 2.1 sound system for your everyday computer/laptop/portable music player/phone use, definitely consider this.
A GREAT college dorm room present!

GOgroove BassPULSE Speaker is a wonderful little system. I have hooked it up to an MP3 player and also tried it with my laptop. In both instances the sound was wonderful. It was easy to hook up, in fact I didn't even use the directions. The sound was deep znd rich, with subtle bass provided by the subwoofer. The unit is very compact, but delivers big unit sound. And even more impressive is the relatively low cost of the system. It compares very favorably to systems costing many more times the dollars. A great buy.

Beyond the totally awesome look that this speaker has, and the fact that it is portable AND rechargable... this speaker has sooo many impressive features. First off, I was able to play it outside for four hours straight without having to recharge it. I normally just use the 3.5mm cord to play music off my iPod, but I tried playing music off a flashdrive just to see how it worked, and it didn't disappoint. This speaker has great range and is extremely versatile, making it an excellent accessory to have, whether you like to party or just relax outside. Two thumbs way up!

GOgroove SonaWAVE Stereo Speaker is insane. It weighs just over a pound, yet has two powerful speakers and even is able to make it boom at the beach-it was charged straight out of the box, so that was the first place I went. All this on a rechargeable battery that lasts at least 4 hours near max (from what I've experienced).
The volume control is very smooth and the rest of the unit is super easy to use. Load up a few hundred songs on a flashdrive or memory card, and you can play/pause/skip/previous right next to the volume control. In addition to the awesome effect it simply has, the LEDs are a battery indicator, and will dim or slowly pulse when low.
One more awesome feature is it will charge your phone if you connect it via USB (however, because this is very hard on a small battery charging a bigger one [i.e. your phone's], this is better if the Sonawave is plugged in itself.)
I ended up finding this on eBay for $20 and free shipping from a very reputable seller, but $25 is great sale price, too.
BOTTOM LINE: BUY THIS THING! I have plenty of portable speaker systems already, but this easily trumps them all. I'm just blown away by it. Cheers.

Philips Fidelio DS3000 Speaker Dock. It's still being used daily and works great.
There is one issue that we have encountered, loading the AA batteries is somewhat of a hassle. Reason being is that the springs are extremely flimsy and bend a lot making it hard to load batteries into the Fidelio DS3000 speaker/dock station.
Other then that issue it's still my favorite and best sounding compact iPod speaker/dock!
--UPDATE--
After listening to several different iPod/MP3 docjing speakers I actually had very low expectations for the Fidelio DS3000. The other speakers were tinny, lacked any sort of mid bass, and were just plain awful. However that is definitely not the case with this baby!
Setup was dirt simple (much simpler then the folding "easy to store" speakers that are out there). I just pulled it out of the box, plugged in the AC adaptor (it also runs on batteries), set the 5th gen iPod Nano on it's base, hit play, and away I was! No spacers or other plastic bits to insert into/over the iPod connection to make the different iPods or iPhone to fit!
The built in lit volume control on the unit is a nice touch since several other units lack an external volume control.
A USB connection allows for connectivity to your computer so you can sync your iPod with your computer. While a separate input jack allows the use of any other MP3 or CD player.
The quality of audio that this beauty reproduces is actually quite amazing. It's not the least bit hollow or tinny. Mid bass and the lower frequencies are present. And the shape of the "system" does a great job at filling a moderately large room with clear audio.
A docking and charging station for your iPod or iPhone and a speaker system for your MP3 or other audio playing device. Sleek, stylish, and extremely functional!

I purchased GOgroove BlueSYNC OR3 bluetooth speaker because I was looking for a more affordable alternative to many of the Bluetooth speakers offered by better-known manufacturers. I thought the speaker's shape and design looked pretty sleek and futuristic from the photos, but I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing a speaker from a company I hadn't heard much about. I'm happy to say that, after receiving my GOgroove BlueSyncOR3 Bluetooth Speaker, I was able to lay all of those doubts and concerns to rest. This speaker is really cool, and was definitely worth the price. The OR3 is very powerful for its size, and the Bluetooth connectivity is excellent. I carry the OR3 (very compact and lightweight) and my phone around the house, blasting music, just about all day long. The thirty foot range for the Bluetooth signal seems pretty accurate as long as your path is relatively unobstructed. I've used the unit for at least twelve hours since it arrived and haven't had to charge the battery since the initial charge. Over the weekend, I brought the speaker to a buddy's house for a BBQ. Many of my friends really dug the speaker's design and were pretty impressed with the audio quality and volume coming from such a small unit. The built-in controls for skipping tracks are also pretty convenient. I haven't had any issues or noticed anything I would identify as a weakness so far, but to anyone who purchases this speaker: read the manual! There are only three buttons on the unit, and some of the functions require holding a button down. For example, by holding the power button for several seconds the speaker will enter "pairing mode" where you can pair your Bluetooth device with the speaker. By holding the +/- buttons you can adjust the speaker's volume. Clicking these buttons, however, is how you skip tracks on your phone or mp3 player. All in all, this speaker is well worth the dough. It comes with a nice felt bag, so if you feel like dragging this speaker around (like me) it won't get too scratched up.

Okay, so maybe everybody knows this, but this isn't just for the Android phone-- it's compatible with the iPhone 4 as well. I wasn't sure of this (I've never really messed with bluetooth before) as they list the FlexSmart on here for the iPhone and the Android phone as separate products. The one listed for the iPhone is actually more money and is not Prime eligible, so I took a chance and just ordered this one. Success, it worked! So if there's anyone out there that's as silly as me wondering hey, will it work for both? The answer is YES. I have an iPhone 4 and my husband has the Samsung Galaxy (an Android phone), and we both connect to it with NO problems whatsoever.
The sound is super crisp. I've had an FM transmitter for my iPod before and not been impressed-- it was static-y and wouldn't hold the signal. But this little gadget really knocked my socks off! Pairing it with 2 different phones was super easy, and the sound quality is terrific. My husband wants one for his truck now. :)
In the item pictures, it only shows the mini & micro USB and audio cords, but this comes with a little package of all the USB cords you'd need for charging if you're a multi-phone family like us (including iPhone/iPod cord). That is REALLY awesome because now I've got ONE device for bluetooth, charging and music! I can get rid of all those other cords! The cord plugs into the USB port and keeps my iPhone charged on long drives. :)
I also plugged my mom's iPhone 3G and my sister's iPhone 3GS into it, paired it using Bluetooth, and it worked flawlessly with those models as well.
I highly recommend this!!
